SUNY Canton started as the School of Agriculture on land adjacent to St. Lawrence University in 1906. The College moved across town to its present location in 1967. Over the years, the college has gone through several name changes. It has been known as the School of Agriculture, New York State Agricultural and Technical Institute at Canton (1941), State University of New York Agricultural and Technical Institute (1948), State University of New York Agricultural and Technical College at Canton (1965), State University of New York College of Technology at Canton (1987) and since 1993, SUNY Canton. One thing has remained consistent: the drive to provide high-quality hands-on education to all students.

This is the final speech I did when I took a speech course at SUNY Canton College in upstate NY during the fall semester of 1994. The name of the course was "Introduction to Speech". This was the second speech course I took. I took another course previously entitled "Oral and Written Expression". It is not easy talking in front of people. It takes practice and getting used to. The name of this speech was "Reincarnation." I used a book by Sylvia Cranston (1915-2000) as a source for quotes on the subject. The book is entitled "Reincarnation: A New Horizon in Science, Religion, and Society." I also used her other books. I had a great professor for the class, Nancy Horan.
